Hafod

Hafod is a Victorian house in Carnyorth, just outside St Just. It's about a mile from the centre. The main thing is the view from the front. You look straight out over the fields to the sea.

It's got three bedrooms and sleeps six. One bathroom, with a good shower. It's a proper house, so the stairs are normal. The back has a private courtyard garden that leads to the parking spot.

Downstairs, there's a living room with a wood burner and that same sea view. The kitchen is modern and has everything. You can eat at the big table inside or outside if the weather's good.

St Just village is a short walk. It's got a Co-op, a few pubs, cafes, and a gallery. There's free parking there, so you can leave the car and get the bus if you want. The bus goes to Land's End and Penzance.

The coast path is right there. You can walk to Cape Cornwall in about twenty minutes. The old tin mines are all around. The Geevor mine at Pendeen is worth a look if you're interested. It's run by the Pendeen Community Heritage.

Land's End is about six miles. It's busy but it's the most westerly point. Sennen Cove is good for families, the beach is gentle. There's a seasonal dog ban on the main beach, but Gwynver beach around the corner allows dogs. Porthcurno beach is stunning, about eight miles. The walk down is steep.

You can surf, walk, or ride. The Cape Cornwall golf course is a mile down the lane. The National Trust looks after a lot of the coast nearby. Visit Cornwall has good ideas for days out.

Facilities: washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them. You can bring two dogs. There's parking for one car on site.
