Sevenstones is in Carn Towan, Cornwall. It's on a quiet lane that leads to the cliffs. The beach at Whitesand Bay is lovely and it's about a three minute walk from the front door.
The cottage itself is one of a row, converted from a Victorian house. You get three bedrooms, sleeps five, and one bathroom. It has a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and has everything you'd need, like a dishwasher and a washing machine. There's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings and the heating is good throughout.
The main thing is the view. You're up on the dunes, so you look right out over Whitesand Bay and Sennen Cove. The windows in the living room make the most of it. The shared grounds are several acres of mostly wild land, so you get birds and wildlife. There's a steep private path that winds down through the grounds to the beach.
We keep some free beach gear you can borrow, like bodyboards, and there's storage if you've brought your own surfboards.
Sennen Cove village is about half a mile away. It's a proper little fishing village, so you can walk to the pub, a couple of restaurants, and the shop. The coastal path goes both ways from here, towards Cape Cornwall one way and Land's End the other.
For days out, the Minack Theatre is about ten minutes drive. It's carved into the cliffs. Penzance is seven miles for bigger shops or the train station. St Just has a golf course. St Ives is a longer drive, maybe forty minutes along the coast road, but it's worth it for the Tate gallery and the narrow streets.
A few practical things: dogs are welcome, up to three. Bedding and towels are included. We've got a cot and a highchair. Parking is on site.
