The Bunker
The Bunker is in Trebehor, which is Cornwall. You turn off the lane and it's just there in the field. It's a converted WWII operations bunker, so it's low and long and made of concrete. It's detached. You get the whole place and the garden to yourselves.
It sleeps six. There are four bedrooms and three bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 5 Star rating. It's comfortable and well done inside, considering it started life as a bunker. The conversion is clever. Because of what it is, the windows are on one side. You look out over the fields.
You're about two miles from Porthcurno Beach and the Minack Theatre. The Minack is that famous open-air theatre carved into the cliff. You can walk the coast path from there. Sennen Cove is a short drive. For a proper day out, St Michael's Mount at Marazion is worth seeing. You can walk across the causeway at low tide.
Penzance is the nearest proper town for shops. Mousehole is a pretty little harbour. The Tate and the Barbara Hepworth Museum are in St Ives. You can get the coastal train from St Erth to St Ives, which saves dealing with the summer parking.
Facilities wise: it's all there. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. There's a games room. The garden is enclosed. Parking is right there. You can bring up to two dogs. Bedding is included.
