The Perch is in Tregeseal, near St Just. It's one of two barns converted into cottages. Ours, The Perch, is on its own with its own garden. The other one is The Hen House. They're next to each other but separate. You get views over the fields.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. It's all on one level and the doors are wide, so it's suitable if you have wheelchair access needs. It's a 5 Star place, which is mostly about the space and the quality of the fittings. It's clean and modern, not old-fashioned.
The living area is open plan. There's a wood burner. The kitchen is part of that space. There's a washing machine, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them.
You can bring up to two dogs. There's parking right next to the cottage.
The owner's farmhouse and its gardens are nearby. They have peacocks and guinea fowl that wander about. They're noisy sometimes. They're just there, part of the place.
St Just is about half a mile away. It's got a good square with a supermarket, butcher, baker, and a few pubs that do food. The coast path is very close. You can walk from the property down to the sea at places like Cape Cornwall or the Cot Valley. That's a proper walk.
Lands' End is a ten-minute drive. Sennen Cove beach is about fifteen minutes. The Minack Theatre is about twenty minutes drive, but you need to book tickets well ahead. National Trust Penwith has good information on the local coast and walking routes.
Penzance and St Ives are both within half an hour if you want a bigger town or different beaches.
