The Hen House
This is The Hen House. It's out past St Just, near Tregeseal, on a farm. The lane up here is long. The barn is all on one level. No stairs.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It has a five-star rating, which means it's very clean and comfortable. It's detached and you get a small garden area with a patio.
The best bit is the wood-fired tub in the garden. It's private, just for you. Inside there's a wood burner for cooler evenings. It's open plan, so it feels light.
The owners live on site in a farmhouse nearby. There are peacocks and guinea fowl that wander about sometimes. That's just how it is.
St Just centre is about ten minutes walk. There are pubs, a decent butcher, a baker, and shops. You don't need to drive for basics.
The coast path is very close. You can walk from here down to the sea. The mining landscape around here is part of the Cornish Mining World Heritage Site. Cape Cornwall and Cot Valley are a couple of miles away.
Senmen Cove beach is about ten minutes by car. Lands End is a ten minute drive. If you want to see a play, the Minack Theatre is about twenty minutes away. Penzance and St Ives are about half an hour's drive.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, wi-fi, and parking right by the barn. Bedding and towels are included. We can take up to two dogs. There's a cot and highchair if you need them.
