Stanhope Cottage

This is Stanhope Cottage in Pendeen. It’s one of a pair of cottages, but it’s detached so there's no shared wall. You’d be looking down over the valley and out to the sea.

It sleeps four. There are two bedrooms upstairs and a bathroom on the ground floor. We’ve done it up, so it’s in good order. It’s got a 4 Star rating, which means it’s well equipped.

The stairs are typical cottage stairs. They’re a bit steep and narrow. The bathroom is downstairs, just so you know.

There’s a good pub about five minutes’ walk up the road. The nearest shop is a bit of a drive, in St Just, about a mile and a half away.

The coastal path is right there. You can be on it in two minutes. The old Geevor Tin Mine is at the top of the village. Botallack is a short walk along the coast. You can see the engine houses from here.

For a day out, Sennen Cove is about ten minutes by car. The Minack Theatre is about twenty minutes away towards Porthcurno. Penzance is fifteen minutes. If you want to use a pool or a gym, there’s the Cape Cornwall Golf and Country Club, which is nearby.

It has a wood burning stove, WiFi, parking, and an enclosed garden. Bedding and towels are included. There’s a washing machine and dishwasher. Sorry, no pets.
