This is Wheal Holan. It's in Pendeen, which is a small village up on the north coast of Cornwall, past St Ives.
It's an old miner's cottage, so it's built from granite. The walls are thick, the ceilings have beams, and there's a big fireplace in the sitting room. It's two hundred years old, so the space is what you'd expect, but it's kept in good order.
It sleeps four. One double bedroom and one twin bedroom. There's one bathroom with a shower. The bedrooms are upstairs. The stairs are steep, typical for an old cottage.
There's a wood burner in the living room. It heats the place up well. The kitchen has what you'd need. Outside, there's a small courtyard at the back where you can park one car. At the front is an enclosed walled garden. It's a sun trap when the weather's right.
You can walk to the coastal path from the door. The Pendeen Watch lighthouse is a good walk along the cliffs. The view from there is straight out to the Atlantic. You can see Lands End and St Ives from the coast.
There are a couple of pubs in the village that serve food. They're proper old places. For beaches, you'll need to drive. Portheras Cove is nearby, or Gwynver and Sennen are about fifteen minutes by car.
The old tin mines, Geevor and Levant, are very close. You can go down Geevor to see how it was worked. It's part of the Cornwall and West Devon Mining Landscape.
Inside, there's a washing machine and WiFi. The bedding is provided. No pets, I'm afraid.
