Bishop Rock is a cottage on Carn Towan, just above Whitesand Bay. It's one of a row converted from a Victorian house. There are a few acres of shared natural grounds.
It's a 250 yard walk down a fairly steep path to the beach. You get a fantastic view over the bay and Sennen Cove from up on the dunes. The lane is quiet, it only goes to the cliffs. You can borrow some beach gear and there's a private storage area for your own things.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's cosy and heated throughout, so it works for winter breaks.
The beach is Sandy. It's got Blue Flag status. It's excellent for surfing. Dogs aren't allowed on Whitesand Bay from the 1st of May to the 30th of September, but they are allowed on Gwenver Beach all year, which is the next one along the coast path.
Sennen Cove is half a mile away. It's a small fishing village. There's a shop, a pub, restaurants, and a lifeboat station. You can walk there.
You're on the coast path. You can walk one way towards Cape Cornwall and the other way past Land's End. The Minack Theatre is about three miles away. Penzance is seven miles. St Ives is fifteen miles up the north coast.
Facilities: dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, parking on site. Bedding and towels are included. A cot and highchair are available. Up to three pets are welcome.
