20 Blackbird Cottage
20 Blackbird Cottage is in Poljigga, which is a small hamlet a couple of miles from Land's End. It's one of four holiday cottages on a site with some permanent residents, so it's a quiet spot.
It sleeps six. There are three bedrooms. One's a dormer with a double bed upstairs. On the ground floor, there's another double bedroom and a twin room with bunk beds. There's a single bed for a toddler in with the ground floor double, but no travel cot provided. Everything is on one floor except the one dormer bedroom, which is good if stairs are a problem. The bathroom is on the ground floor too.
It's open plan inside. You've got the kitchen, dining area, and living space all together. It's got a TV, fridge, microwave, and the usual kitchen things. It's a 3 Star place, so it's comfortable and clean without any fuss.
Outside, there's a patio garden area for you to use.
The location is the main thing. You're right out near the tip of Cornwall. Land's End is about two miles away. The coastal path is a short walk from here. The beaches are brilliant and very close. Porthchapel is just over a mile, Porthgwarra too. Sennen Cove is two miles and great for surfing. Porthcurno beach and the Minack Theatre are about a mile and a half away. You really are spoilt for choice.
Penzance is the nearest proper town, about seven and a half miles. That's where you'll find the train station, shops, and the harbour. For planning walks or days out, the National Trust Cornwall site is useful, and so is the South West Coast Path page.
