Meadow Cottage
Meadow Cottage is in Tregeseal, near St Just in west Cornwall. It's detached, so no one's next door. You get a proper garden, it's enclosed. The cottage looks out over fields.
It sleeps three, in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well looked after. The doorways are low in places, watch your head.
There's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings. It's open plan downstairs, with the kitchen, living and dining area all in one room. You've got a dishwasher and washing machine.
The hamlet is quiet. St Just is about a ten minute walk away for a shop and a pub. You can walk to the coast path from here. The Tregeseal Stone Circle is on the moorland just up the road.
For beaches, Sennen Cove is about ten minutes by car. It's a big sandy beach, good for surf watching. Cape Cornwall is even closer, a five minute drive. The views from there out to the Scilly Isles are very good.
The whole area is a UNESCO World Heritage site because of the mining history. Geevor Tin Mine is worth a visit. The landscape is dotted with old engine houses.
You can drive to the Minack Theatre near Porthcurno in about twenty minutes. It's a theatre carved into the cliff. Booking ahead is essential. Penzance and St Michael's Mount are within half an hour.
One well-behaved dog is welcome. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking for one car on the drive.
