Sparrows is in Trevowhan, which is a tiny hamlet near Morvah. It's a detached, single-storey barn conversion. We live next door in the farmhouse.
It sleeps four, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. One bathroom is a ground floor wet room. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean.
You can see the sea from the living room windows. The Cornish coastal path is less than half a mile away. The B3306 road is about 200 yards from the gate. It's the coastal road from St Ives to Land's End, and it's very scenic, but you can hear some traffic from the garden.
The garden is enclosed, which is good for kids. There's parking right outside.
Portheras Beach is a mile away. It's a good beach for a walk. For shops or a pub, Pendeen is two miles. Zennor is close too, and has a good pub.
St Ives is about a fifteen minute drive. Penzance is about twenty minutes. The Minack Theatre at Pendeen Watch is a bit further, maybe twenty-five minutes.
The place is on National Trust moorland. There are old engine houses everywhere you look. It's good for walking, climbing, or just sitting.
Facilities include a washing machine, dishwasher, and a woodburner. We include bedding and towels. There's WiFi. No pets, sorry.
