This is Haddock's End. It's in Pendeen, which is right out on the north-west coast of Cornwall. It's an end-of-terrace cottage, an old miner's place. It's been done up inside, so it's comfortable and warm. The main thing is the view. You look straight out to sea from the front.
It sleeps five, with three bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. There's a washing machine, a dishwasher, and Wi-Fi. The garden is enclosed, so it's safe for kids. Parking is on site.
The location is what it's about. You're a ten minute walk from the coastal path. Turn left and you're heading towards the Pendeen Watch Lighthouse. You can see seals sometimes. To the right, there's a path down to Portherras Cove, which is a nice sandy beach. The village shop is a few minutes' walk, and there's a pub too.
If you drive, you're in a good spot. St Ives is about twenty minutes away. The Levant Mine is very close, it's a proper Cornish engine house. Geevor Tin Mine is just up the road if you want to see how it all worked. The Minack Theatre is about half an hour's drive, which is an experience. For a bigger beach, Sennen Cove is fifteen minutes by car.
