Number Nineteen

Number Nineteen is in Pendeen, up on the north coast. It's a detached stone cottage. We restored it a few years back. It's reverse level, so you go upstairs to the living area. That means the main room gets more light.

It sleeps four in two bedrooms and has one bathroom. The rating is 4 Star. There's a wood burning stove for cooler evenings. The garden is enclosed, which is handy.

You're close to the coast path here. Pendeen Lighthouse is a short walk. The landscape is rugged, with old tin mines on the cliffs. It's the area they used for Poldark. For a good beach day, Sennen Cove is about a ten minute drive. It's popular with surfers.

Penzance is twenty minutes away. From there you can get the Scillonian ferry to the Isles of Scilly. St Ives is about half an hour's drive along the coast. The Minack Theatre at Porthcurno is also within half an hour.

Locally, there's a small shop about a quarter of a mile away. The nearest pub is an 800 yard walk. They do food.

The cottage has parking. There's WiFi, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. No pets, I'm afraid.
