Higher Trewellard Hill Farm
Higher Trewellard Hill Farm is near Pendeen, right out on the west Cornwall coast. It's one half of a granite farmhouse. The views are good, out over the moors and a bit of sea.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom. It has a 4 Star rating. The place is solid, old granite. The walls are thick and the ceilings have beams. There's a wood burner in the living room. The stairs are typical for a place like this, so watch your head and step.
It's quiet here. You're a bit out on your own. The garden is yours. There's parking right there and an electric vehicle charger.
Pendeen village has a shop and a Post Office. There are a few pubs that do food. The closest ones are about a fifteen minute walk down the hill, or a very short drive. St Just is three miles away. They've got butchers, a bakery, and some shops there.
For a beach, Portherras Cove is about two miles away. It's a small cove. There are steps down to it, but no other facilities. The coastline here is all rugged. You can walk it from the door.
The whole area is mined out. The old engine houses are part of the Cornish Mining World Heritage Site. It's also an official Dark Sky Area, so the stars are good on a clear night. For planning walks, the National Trust Cornwall site is useful, and Visit Cornwall has general information.
In the cottage, there's a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. No pets, sorry.
