We call the cottage Chancer. It's a converted barn on our farm in Trereife, just outside Penzance. It's for two people and one dog.
It's got a 5 Star rating. That means everything is in good order and it's well equipped. The layout is straightforward. Downstairs is the kitchen, a dining table, and a separate living room with a wood burner. Upstairs is one bedroom with an en-suite shower room. The stairs are original, so they're quite steep.
Outside is an enclosed garden. It's all yours. It's quiet here at night, so if the sky's clear you can see plenty of stars.
You're about two miles from Penzance and a bit less to Newlyn harbour. Newlyn is good for fresh fish. There's a shop and a pub about a mile's walk away.
Mousehole is about three miles west. It's a small, old harbour. The coast path is easily reached from here. You can drive to Sennen Cove in maybe twenty minutes. The Minack Theatre at Porthcurno is about a fifteen minute drive.
For wider planning, the National Trust Cornwall and Visit Cornwall sites are useful.
Included in the price are all utilities, bedding, towels, WiFi, and parking. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, and a cot and highchair if you need them.
