The Boat Watch
The Boat Watch is my place in Mousehole. It's an apartment above the restaurant I run.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable, and we've put in extra soundproofing because of the restaurant below. You have your own front door and stairs up to it.
The main thing is the view. You look right out over the harbour and Mount's Bay. The living area is open plan. There's a woodburner for cooler evenings. The kitchen's there too, so you can cook if you want, but obviously you've got the restaurant right downstairs. You can run a tab, and we can bring meals up to you if you'd rather eat in private.
The stairs to the apartment are your typical cottage stairs. They're fine, just a bit steep and narrow.
Mousehole itself is small. The streets are narrow and it's quiet, except in summer. There's a shop and a couple of pubs about a minute's walk away. The harbour beach is sandy when the tide's out.
You're on the South West Coast Path here, so the walking is excellent right from the door. Penzance is about ten minutes' drive for bigger shops. Newlyn's even closer. St Ives is maybe twenty-five minutes. The Minack Theatre is about half an hour away. For a big day out, the National Trust has lots of properties nearby, like St Michael's Mount.
Facilities: There's a washing machine, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them. Sorry, no pets.
