The Boat Watch is an apartment above our restaurant on the harbour in Mousehole. You pronounce it Mowzel. It’s a proper old fishing village, the streets are narrow and it can get busy in summer.
The apartment sleeps four in two bedrooms. There’s one bathroom. It has a 4 Star rating. It’s warm and comfortable. We’ve put in extra soundproofing because of the restaurant below, so it’s quiet up there. You get your own front door and a private staircase up.
The living area is open plan with a woodburner and a view of the harbour from the window. The kitchen is part of that room. The bedrooms are doubles. Bedding and towels are included. There’s a washing machine, WiFi, a TV. We can provide a cot and a highchair if needed. No pets.
Being right on the harbour is the main thing. There’s a sandy beach at low tide. The coastal path runs right past. You can walk from here to places like Lamorna Cove.
The restaurant is downstairs. We’re open most days for lunch and dinner. Guests can run a tab if they like, and we can even bring meals up to the apartment. The menu changes.
For days out, Penzance is about ten minutes by car. Newlyn is even closer. St Ives is about half an hour. The Minack Theatre is twenty minutes drive. Lands End and Sennen Cove are about twenty five minutes. The Tate St Ives is good if you like art.
