Oaken Cottage
Oaken Cottage is in Mousehole, on a quiet lane just off the harbour. It's one of a pair of old fishermen's cottages, so it's attached on one side. The cottage sleeps five, in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom.
It's a 4 Star place. That means it's comfortable and has everything you need, but you're not coming for interior design. It's clean and works. The stairs are steep and narrow, which is normal for these cottages. Just something to be aware of.
You're a minute's walk from the harbour and the village shops. There are a couple of pubs, places to eat, and a small beach. It's a proper Cornish village, so the streets are narrow and twisty.
For a bigger beach, you'd drive. Porthcurno is about ten minutes away by car. The sand is good and the Minack Theatre is there if you fancy a show. Sennen Cove is a bit further, maybe fifteen minutes. Penzance is five miles one way for supermarkets, and St Ives is about nine miles the other.
If you like walking, the South West Coast Path is right there. You can walk to Penzance or Newlyn along the coast. Land's End is about twenty minutes by car.
In the cottage, you've got a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot if you need it. No pets, I'm afraid.
