Pentreath 4 is a modern house in Carbis Bay. It's in the grounds of the Tregenna Castle estate, so you get the green space but it's a newer build.
It sleeps six, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's well-equipped and comfortable. It's set over three floors. The stairs aren't an issue for most people, but it wouldn't suit someone with mobility problems.
Downstairs is all open plan. Kitchen at one end, living area at the other. There's a large Smart TV with the main streaming services already on it, and a Sonos speaker for music. Upstairs on the first floor is a double bedroom, a twin room, and the main family bathroom. The top floor is the master bedroom with its own ensuite bathroom. The walls slope with the roof, but there's good headroom in the middle of the room.
You don't really need a car here. The Carbis Bay train station is about half a mile away, and the open-top bus route is excellent. It's a 15-20 minute walk down into St Ives itself. That's where you'll find the Tate, the Barbara Hepworth Museum, the shops, and most of the pubs and restaurants.
The closest beach is Porthminster. It's a flat, sandy beach about a 15 minute walk away. It's sheltered and good for families. The cafe there is open year-round. You can see Godrevy Lighthouse from there.
For a day out, Penzance is about a 20 minute drive. The harbour is busy and you can get good fish. St Michael's Mount is nearby. The village of Mousehole is also worth a trip.
What's here: parking on site, a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, bedding and towels included. There's a patio area, and a shared garden space. It's family-friendly, we provide a cot, highchair, and a stairgate. Sorry, no pets.
