Ivy Mount
Ivy Mount is in Lelant, which is just outside St Ives. It's a Victorian house, so the walls are nice and thick. It sleeps six, with three bedrooms upstairs and two bathrooms.
It's got a five star rating, which basically means it's well-equipped and comfortable. There are two wood burners, one in the lounge and one in the dining room. The kitchen has a sunroom that opens straight onto the back garden. The garden is fully enclosed, which is good. There's a side gate so you can come in from the beach without traipsing sand through the house.
You can walk to Lelant station in a few minutes. The train into St Ives is a good idea, especially in summer when parking there is a nightmare. The mainline at St Erth is about a mile away if you want to go to Penzance or Truro without driving.
For the beach, Porthkidney Sands is dog-friendly all year and you can walk there. Hayle Towans and Gwithian are a short drive, maybe ten minutes. They're good for surfing or if you just want a big beach.
The facilities list is quite long, but the main things are there. Washing machine, dishwasher, Wi-Fi, TV. It says 'Games Room' on the list – that's a shed in the garden with a pool table and table football in it. Bedding and towels are included.
You can bring two dogs. We don't charge extra for them.
