Ivy Mount
Ivy Mount is a Victorian house in Lelant. It's about a ten minute drive from St Ives, or you can get the train from the end of the road.
It sleeps six, three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating. The place is comfortable and clean. The stairs are average, not too steep.
The garden is fully enclosed and private. There's a side gate so you can come straight in from a walk without going through the house. Good if you've got sandy feet or a wet dog. We take two dogs.
You've got a lounge and a separate dining room, both with wood burners. The kitchen leads into a sunroom and then out to the garden. There's a covered decking area with a table.
You can walk to the local pub. Porthkidney Beach is also within walking distance and dogs are allowed all year round. For a bigger beach, Hayle Towans is a short drive. Gwithian is good for surf and has a cafe.
The bus stop is 50 metres away and the little train station to St Ives is a short walk. It's a good idea to use that in summer when St Ives parking is difficult. The mainline station at St Erth connects you to Penzance, Truro, and beyond.
Inside, there's a washing machine, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot, highchair, and stairgate.
