Wheal Trenwith Cottage

Wheal Trenwith Cottage is a detached cottage on the edge of St Ives. It's a five minute walk down the hill into town. You don't really need the car once you're here.

The set up is a bit different. The two bedrooms are downstairs, along with a separate toilet. The main living area and the bathroom are upstairs. That's where the balcony is too. You can see a slice of the sea and the harbour from there. It's a proper suntrap in the morning.

The cottage sleeps four. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well equipped. It feels spacious for a cottage. There's parking for one car on the drive.

You're near enough to walk to everything. Porthminster Beach is maybe ten minutes. The Harbour and the smaller beaches are about the same. The Tate St Ives is down there. Town can get busy, but you're far enough back to be quiet at night.

The St Ives Bay train runs from the station down by Porthminster Beach. It's a scenic trip along the coast to St Erth, stopping at Carbis Bay and Lelant. You can connect to mainline trains at St Erth if you're heading to Penzance or Truro.

For a bigger day out, the coast path goes right past. You can walk west towards Zennor, or east through Carbis Bay. The National Trust has a lot of places nearby, like Godrevy and Trengwainton. Land's End is about a 40 minute drive.

Inside, it's got what you'd expect: wifi, TV, dishwasher, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. No pets, I'm afraid.
