Little Trevarrack is our cottage in Carbis Bay. It's quite old, from the 1700s. Two bedrooms, sleeps four. There's one bathroom with a shower. It's rated 4 Star.
The thing about its spot is it feels quiet and tucked away on a lane, but you can walk to the beach at Carbis Bay in about half an hour. Or it's a five-minute drive. St Ives town centre is about a ten-minute drive. There's a train from Carbis Bay station that goes right into St Ives if you don't want to park. The line runs right along the coast, it's a nice trip.
The cottage isn't big, it's a traditional place. The stairs are narrow and steep, like in a lot of old cottages. There's a handrail. Also, you go up two steps from the lane to get to the front door. The garden is enclosed, which is handy if you're bringing dogs. We allow up to two. There's parking right outside.
Inside, it's got everything you'd need. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. There's a fridge but no freezer compartment, just so you know. Towels and bedding are included.
From here you can get to most of West Cornwall within an hour. St Michael's Mount at Marazion is about twenty minutes' drive. For a longer day out, The Eden Project is maybe forty-five minutes. If you're looking for walks or places to visit, the National Trust Cornwall page is good, and so is the Cornwall National Landscape site.
