The Cottage is in St Ives, up behind the harbour. It’s on a pedestrian lane, so you can’t park right outside. There’s a public car park a couple of minutes’ walk away and you get a permit for that.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms. One double, one twin. One bathroom. It’s got a 4 Star rating, so it’s well looked after.
You come in to the living room. There’s an open fire. The floors are original wood. The kitchen is through the back. It’s got a dishwasher and a washing machine. The Wi-Fi works fine.
Out the front is a small terraced garden. It gets the sun in the morning. You can sit out there with a coffee.
The town is all on your doorstep. Shops, pubs, restaurants. The harbour and the main beaches are a five minute walk downhill. The South West Coast Path runs right past if you want to walk to Carbis Bay or further.
If you drive, you can get to places like St Michael’s Mount or the Minack Theatre near Porthcurno in about half an hour. For a wet day, the Tate St Ives is up the hill.
It’s a traditional cottage, so the stairs are a bit steep. No pets, sorry. Bedding and towels are included.
