The Cottage
The Cottage is on a narrow lane up above the harbour in St Ives. You have to walk down to it, about fifty yards from where you can park. It's one of the old fishermen's places.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms: one double and one with two single beds. There's one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well looked after. The garden is a little terraced bit out the front, a suntrap if you get the weather.
Inside, it's all on two floors. Downstairs is the living room with a woodburning stove and a smart TV. The kitchen is through there. The stairs are the original steep cottage ones, you need to watch your head.
You're right in the middle of it all. The shops, the pasty places, pubs, and the Tate gallery are a five-minute walk downhill. The main harbour and Porthmeor beach are about ten minutes. It's busy in summer, but you can't beat being that close.
If you want to get out, the coast path is right there. You can walk to Carbis Bay along it. For a bigger day out, Penrose is about half an hour's drive, or you can go the other way towards Zennor. The Minack Theatre and St Michael's Mount are also within half an hour.
It has wifi, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. No pets, sorry.
