Swallows Barn

Swallows Barn is one of three cottages here at Gwedna Barns, near Godolphin Cross. It's on what used to be a farm, but it's not working now, so it's quiet. You've got your own garden bit with a table and chairs, and the view from there is over fields. There's a couple of acres of shared garden too, and a play area for kids.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. The main living space is all open plan, with the sitting area a couple of steps up from the kitchen. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well looked after. The front is traditional Cornish granite, but inside it's modern.

There's a shop about a mile and a half away. The nearest pub is in Godolphin Cross, about three miles. For a good beach, Gwithian sands are about a 15-minute drive north. Prussia Cove is closer, maybe five miles south. It's a rocky cove, good for a swim if you don't mind the cold.

You're well placed here. St Ives, Penzance, and The Lizard are all within 20 minutes by car. Helston is nearby for supermarkets. The A30 is easy to get to if you want to explore further, like Land's End or Falmouth.

In terms of what's here: there's a dishwasher, washing machine, TV, and wifi. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. There's parking right outside. No pets, I'm afraid.

If you're looking for things to do, the National Trust Cornwall page is useful, or Cornwall's official visitor site. The whole area is a World Heritage site because of the mining history. Godolphin House is just up the road if that's your sort of thing.
