The Barn
The Barn is ours. It's down a long, private drive in Sithney, so it's quiet. You won't see another house from it. It's all on one level, which is good if steps are a bother.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's been done up to a high standard. It's comfortable, not just basic. Everything works.
You've got your own garden and you can sit out there. There's a small lake in the grounds, which is nice to look at.
It's about three miles to Helston. That's where the main shops are, and a few pubs. The coast is close. Praa Sands is a good sandy beach, about ten minutes in the car. Porthleven is a fishing harbour with places to eat, that's a similar distance.
For a day out, Falmouth is worth the drive. There's the castle, the maritime museum, and the harbour. The Helford River is beautiful for a walk. The Lizard peninsula is south of us, with more coves and coastal path. St Ives is about forty minutes away, but it gets very busy.
What's here: parking right outside, a wet room shower, WiFi, TV, dishwasher, bedding and towels are provided. No pets sorry.
