The Old Piggery is on our farm in Trewey, near Zennor. It's a one-bedroom barn conversion we did a few years back. It sleeps two. The rating is 4 Star, which means it's comfortable and well-finished.
It's a single open-plan room downstairs, with the kitchen, sitting area and a wood burner. Upstairs is the bedroom and bathroom. The stairs are the original ones, so they're quite steep and narrow. That's just how it is. You'll see the old stone walls inside. There's no TV, but the wifi is good if you want to stream something on a laptop.
Outside is a private patio with a table. You look out over the fields. It's very quiet.
Zennor village is about a mile away. It's small. There's a pub, the Tinners Arms, and a church. The coastal path runs right through there. The walk from Zennor to St Ives along the coast is beautiful but it's a proper hike, about six miles. You can get the bus back from St Ives if you're one-way.
St Ives is about twenty minutes by car. You've got the Tate gallery and the Barbara Hepworth museum there. Parking can be difficult in summer, so using the park-and-ride is a good idea. Penzance is about twenty minutes in the other direction.
For beaches, Porthmeor near St Ives is good for surfing. There are smaller coves like Pendour, near Zennor, but the path down is steep and rocky.
Facilities included are all the utilities, bedding and towels, wifi, and parking right outside. No pets, sorry.
