Chapel View is in Carbis Bay, just outside St Ives. It's a detached house set back from the road on a bit of a slope, so you get a clear view over the bay. You can see the sea from most of the upstairs rooms.
It sleeps eight people in four bedrooms, and each bedroom has its own bathroom. That's the main thing about it. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped and finished to a high standard. The stairs are open-tread and a bit steep in places, so you need to be careful.
Carbis Bay beach is a short walk down the hill. It's sheltered, so the water is often calmer than at St Ives. From there, you can walk the coast path into St Ives. Driving into St Ives in summer is difficult, so it's easier to walk or get the train. The station is nearby and it's about three minutes on the train.
St Ives has the Tate gallery, the Barbara Hepworth museum, and lots of shops and restaurants. You can get boat trips from the harbour to see seals. For a longer day out, Marazion and St Michael's Mount are about a twenty-minute drive. You can walk out to the castle at low tide. Penzance is about fifteen minutes in the car.
The house itself has a kitchen and living area upstairs to make the most of the view. There's a terrace outside those rooms. Downstairs are three of the bedrooms. It's all open plan and modern. There's parking for two cars on the drive.
