The Milking Parlour

The Milking Parlour is in Towednack, which is a couple of miles outside St Ives. It's a converted barn. It's eco-friendly, which basically means it's very well insulated and has an air source heat pump.

It sleeps six. There are two bedrooms and one main bathroom upstairs. Downstairs, there's a sofa bed in the living area that folds out into a double, and a separate wet room. It's a 4 Star, so it's comfortable and has everything you need.

The main room has a wood burner, which is great when it's chilly. There's underfloor heating too. Outside is a patio with a table and a BBQ, and it's all enclosed so it's safe for dogs and kids.

You can drive into St Ives, but the traffic can be bad in summer. The park and ride at St Erth is easier, or you can get the local bus. Most of the beaches allow dogs, but some have summer restrictions. The coast path is on your doorstep, really. You can walk to Zennor from here if you're feeling energetic.

If you're into walking, the Tinners' Way trail from St Ives to Cape Cornwall starts nearby. For history, the old mining sites at Geevor or Botallack are about a 20 minute drive. The Minack Theatre is about 40 minutes away.

Facilities: it has pretty much everything. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking for two cars and an electric vehicle charger. You can bring up to two dogs.
