This is Lodge 66, Una. It's on the edge of Carbis Bay. It's a new, detached lodge that sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating.
The main room is open plan, kitchen, living and dining area together. There's a wood burner for cooler evenings. The set-up is modern and clear. Everything's included: bedding, towels, WiFi.
Outside, there's a patio with a hot tub.
It's part of a small development, so you get use of the on-site leisure facilities. That means an indoor heated pool, a gym, a sauna and steam room. There's a separate kids' pool too. The spa treatments cost extra. The outdoor lido is closed from November to March, but the indoor pool stays open.
The location is quiet. You can walk down into Carbis Bay village, or along the coast path to St Ives. That takes about 30-40 minutes on foot. Carbis Bay beach is very good, proper sand, usually calm water.
St Ives has the Tate gallery and the Barbara Hepworth Museum if you're into art. Lots of places to eat. You can drive there in five minutes, but parking can be tricky in summer.
Within about half an hour's drive you've got places like Godrevy for walks and seals, St Michael's Mount, and Gwithian for surfing. Further down, Penzance and Land's End are reachable.
For facilities: it's got parking, a washing machine, dishwasher, TV. It's family-friendly with a cot, highchair and stairgate available.
No pets allowed.
