The Hideaway is an apartment attached to the Chessell Pottery Cafe near Shalcombe. It's ground floor, so no steps to worry about. The cafe courtyard is right outside.
It's a one-bedroom place for two people. It's got a 4 Star rating so it's well-finished, with things like an en-suite shower and a washing machine. It's open plan. The kitchen area is part of the main room. The bed is in a separate room.
You can bring one dog. There's a patio area outside your door. Parking is on site.
The main thing is the location. It's in the quiet west of the island. The cafe is literally on the doorstep. They do breakfast, lunch, and cakes. It's a nice spot to start or end the day without having to drive.
The coast path is very close if you want to walk. The nearest beach is about a mile away. The Needles are about a twenty minute drive. For a day out, Osborne House is roughly half an hour's drive, near East Cowes.
For planning walks or visits, the National Trust Isle of Wight page is useful, as is the Visit Isle of Wight site.
