Riverside Cottage is in Lamlash on the Isle of Arran. It's a detached cottage that sits by itself, so you've got your privacy. There's a garden that's fully enclosed, which is good if you've got dogs or kids.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One double has an ensuite, which is handy. Another double has doors out to the garden. Everything is on one level, so no stairs to worry about.
The main living area looks out over Lamlash Bay. You get a good view of the sea and Holy Isle from there. There's also a view of the river from the side. The kitchen has a breakfast bar and a dishwasher. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped and comfortable.
You can walk straight from the garden down to the beach. It's sandy. Lamlash itself is a quiet village. There's a shop, a few places to eat, and a pub. It's a good base.
For getting out, you're in the middle of everything. The ferry to Holy Isle leaves from the pier if you fancy a trip over. The National Trust for Scotland looks after a lot of the island, including Brodick Castle. Goatfell is about a 30 minute drive if you're up for the walk. Machrie Moor stone circles are about 40 minutes by car. The golf club is on the edge of the village.
Facilities: parking for two cars, washing machine, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
