The cottage is straightforward inside. It's been decorated nicely. There's a wood burner in the living room. From the kitchen, patio doors open out to the enclosed garden, which is handy if you're bringing a dog or if you just want to sit outside. The garden is quiet, overlooking a field.
There's a private path from the garden that leads across the road to Sandbraes Park. That's got a play area for kids and takes you straight down to the beach. The beach is about a five minute walk.
In the village, there's a shop about 500 yards away. There's a pub and a restaurant about half a mile. There's also a putting green and a bowling green if that's your sort of thing.
For facilities, it has what you'd expect: a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding is included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. You can bring one dog. There's parking on site.
For walks and days out, the coast is right there. For a proper day trip, you can drive up to Brodick to see Brodick Castle, or go walking in Arran National Park.
