Castleside Croft
Castleside Croft is in Kildonan, on the west coast of Ayrshire. It's a semi-detached cottage, one of a pair. It sleeps four.
There are three bedrooms and one bathroom. Two bedrooms are upstairs, one is a double with a small Juliet balcony you can stand on. The third bedroom is downstairs and has bunk beds, which people with kids tend to find useful. It's a 3 Star place, so it's comfortable and clean, but not high-end.
The main room has patio doors out to the garden. The garden is south-facing, so you get the sun. There's a table and chairs out there. You look out over fields to the sea. The ruins of Kildonan Castle are right beside the cottage, which is where the name comes from.
The beach is about a five minute walk down the lane. You often see seals there. There's a hotel with a bar and restaurant about the same distance away.
For getting about, you're on the south coast of Arran, so you can see the island. Ailsa Craig is out in the water too. Girvan is the nearest proper town, about a ten minute drive north. Ayr is roughly half an hour away by car if you need bigger shops or the racecourse.
Inside, it's got what you'd expect: a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, wifi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot if you need it. You can bring up to two dogs. Parking is right outside.
