The Royal Arran is in Whiting Bay on Arran. It's a big house right on the shore, built in 1901. It sleeps twelve, so it's good for a family or a group of friends.
There are six bedrooms and they all have their own shower rooms. One has a freestanding bath too. There's also a separate family bathroom with a roll-top bath. One bedroom is on the ground floor, which might be easier for some.
The place has a few different sitting areas. There's a comfortable TV room with a wood burner for cooler evenings. The main living rooms are at the front to make the most of the sea view. You can see the Holy Isle and the mainland from there. The dining room and kitchen have the same view.
The garden has two patio areas looking out to sea. There's a burn that runs down the side of the house. It's not fenced in, so you just need to be aware of that if you have small children or dogs. You can hear the water though, which is nice.
The beach is about twenty yards away. The village is a short walk. There's a shop, a post office, a pub, a restaurant, and a coffee shop. There's also a play park nearby. For walks, you can go to Glenashdale Falls and the Giants Graves, or follow the forestry paths.
Facilities: it's got parking, WiFi, a washing machine, a dishwasher, a BBQ, and a cot. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. The property has a 5 Star rating.
