This is Ardbeag. It's in Whiting Bay, on the Isle of Arran. You come off the main road and up a short, steep hill to get there. The view from the top is the reason for it. You look right out over the bay and across to Holy Isle.
It's a detached house, sleeps six. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms. One bedroom is on the first floor and has an en-suite. It gets the same view. There are two living areas, which is handy if you've got kids or just want a bit of space. Both rooms have big windows facing the sea. The garden is a good size, mostly lawn. It's enclosed, so it's fine for dogs.
The place has a three star rating. It's comfortable and well-equipped, not luxurious. It feels like a family home. You've got a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, all the basics. Bedding and towels are included.
You can walk down into Whiting Bay village in a few minutes. There's a shop, a couple of places to eat, a post office. The beach is right there. The local golf course is just down the hill. For walks, you're on the coast so you can just head off. The beach is shingle, but it's a proper beach.
If you want to explore, the whole island is within an hour's drive. Brodick Castle is about twenty minutes away, that's a National Trust for Scotland property. The Visit Arran site has more ideas. You're in a good spot to get to anywhere.
We take up to two dogs. There's parking for two cars on the drive.
