Braehead Cottage
This is Braehead Cottage in Lamlash. It's on a quiet cul-de-sac right in the middle of the village, but at the top end so you're up a bit of a slope. You get a decent view from the front. You can see right across Lamlash Bay to Holy Isle from the living room and the two main bedrooms.
It sleeps five people in three bedrooms. Two doubles and one single. There are two bathrooms, one has a shower. It's clean and well looked after, a straightforward place. It's got a 4 Star rating.
The stairs are a bit steep. That's worth knowing if anyone in your group finds stairs tricky.
You can walk to everything in Lamlash from here. There's a shop, a couple of pubs, places to eat, the beach and the pier. The golf club is just along the road.
The front has a small patio with seating. It gets the sun in the afternoon. There's a squirrel that lives in the trees nearby, you'll probably see it.
Inside, there's a wood burning stove for chilly evenings. It has WiFi, a TV, a washing machine and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included, and we can provide a travel cot and highchair if you need them. The garden is enclosed.
For things to do, the island is your main attraction. The ferry terminal is in Ardrossan on the mainland.
