Bay View is in Brodick, about a ten minute walk down into the village. It's a red sandstone terraced house, so the walls are thick. We've had it renovated and extended, so it's more spacious than it looks from the front.
It sleeps seven. There are four bedrooms upstairs and two bathrooms. The main bedroom has a door that opens onto a small Juliet balcony, which looks over the back garden. You get a good view of the bay and Goatfell from the front windows. The garden is south facing, so you get the sun.
Everything you'd need for a week is there: dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi. The kitchen has underfloor heating and the living room has a wood burner. We leave bedding and towels.
It's in a bit of an elevated spot, so the walk back up from the village is a bit of a pull. The stairs inside are normal, not too steep.
You can walk to the Co-op, the pier, the beach, and the play park. The golf club is just down the hill. There are a few pubs and restaurants in the village that do food.
For getting out, you're right on the island. Walking up Goatfell starts from near the house. The ferry terminal is a short drive or a 20 minute walk. The whole coast is accessible. Brodick Castle and its gardens are run by the National Trust for Scotland. For wider planning, VisitScotland's Arran page has good information.
No pets, sorry.
