It's called Heathfield House. It's in Brodick, on the Isle of Arran. It's semi-detached but it's big and wide, one of a pair. The place used to be well looked after but it's a bit older now. It sleeps ten, and is rated three stars, so it's clean and comfortable rather than modern luxury.
It has five bedrooms and four bathrooms, which is useful for a group that size. The master bedroom has a proper ensuite with a separate bath and shower. Some of the bathrooms have been updated more than others.
The layout works. The kitchen, dining room and conservatory all lead into one another, which is good for everyone being together. The conservatory gets the sun and looks onto a big shared lawn. There are two separate living areas, so people can spread out.
It's a short walk into the centre of Brodick. You can get to a few shops, pubs, restaurants, the beach and a play park easily without the car. The local golf course is just up the road.
For a bigger group, you can book the attached cottage next door as well. That would take you up to fourteen people.
The facilities are all there. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV, on-site parking. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. No pets, I'm afraid.
If you're planning things to do, you can start with Visit Scotland's Arran page. The main mountain is Goatfell, and the National Trust for Scotland looks after the paths up it.
