Fellview
It's called Fellview and it's in Strathwhillan, just outside Brodick on Arran. It's a semi-detached cottage. You get your own garden out the back, which looks over fields. At the front, you can see Goatfell and a bit of the sea.
It sleeps four. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is handy. We accept one well-behaved dog. It's a 3 Star place, so it's comfortable and clean but not luxurious. Everything you need is there.
The living room is at the front with a big window for the view. There's a woodburning stove for cooler nights. Patio doors from there lead to the back garden. The kitchen has a conservatory on the back, which is nice for eating in. You can open the doors on a good day.
You can walk into Brodick in about five minutes. There's a shop, a couple of places to eat, and a play park. The beach is about a mile. The local pub is about three quarters of a mile away.
Because you can walk to the ferry terminal, some people park in Ardrossan and come over without a car. It works for a weekend.
Facilities: WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We've got a cot and a highchair if you need them. There's parking.
For things to do, Arran is good for walking and golf. The National Trust for Scotland looks after Brodick Castle and some gardens. The VisitScotland page for Arran has general information.
