Fellview
Fellview is in Strathwhillan, a small neighbourhood at the north end of Brodick. It's a semi-detached house built for the local estate. If you're coming over on the ferry from Ardrossan, it's less than a ten minute walk from the terminal. That means you can leave the car on the mainland if you want.
The house sleeps four. There are three bedrooms upstairs and two bathrooms, one upstairs and a shower room downstairs. It's got a 3 Star rating, which means it's clean and has everything you need but it's not a show home.
The front looks out over the road to the fields and hills. The back garden is quiet and enclosed, which is good if you're bringing a dog. We allow one. The sun gets round the front in the morning. There's a conservatory off the kitchen that gets the afternoon light.
You can walk to the shop and a couple of restaurants in about five minutes. The beach at Brodick is about a twenty minute walk down the main road, or you can go through the golf course.
For a day out, you can catch the bus to Lamlash or Whiting Bay. The main attraction is the hills. Goat Fell is right there. The National Trust for Scotland Arran page has good information for walks. You can also drive to Lochranza in about half an hour to see the castle and the distillery.
Inside, there's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings. The facilities are all there: washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, cot and highchair if needed. Bedding and towels are included.
