Tigh Na Cuile
Tigh Na Cuile is in Lamlash, on the Isle of Arran. It's a detached Swiss-style chalet. It's upside down, so you go upstairs to the main living area. That's so you get the best view from the big windows. You can see right across the bay to the Holy Isle.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating. That means it's well finished and comfortable. The garden is yours to use. There's on-site parking and a place to store bikes.
You'll find a local pub in the village. For activities, Lamlash Bay does sea kayaking and powerboat trips if you want to get out on the water. You can also get a small ferry over to the Holy Isle. It's a Buddhist community, with animals like goats and ponies roaming free.
A couple of miles south is Whiting Bay. It has some small independent shops. From there, a forestry trail leads to Glenashdale Falls and the Giant's Graves, which are prehistoric. There's a golf course nearby too.
You can often see wildlife like seals on the rocks offshore, or otters and porpoises. For planning walks or days out, the National Trust for Scotland Arran page and the VisitScotland Arran guide are useful.
Inside, there's a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them. There's a BBQ outside. Sorry, no pets.
