Tigh Na Cuile is in Lamlash on the Isle of Arran. It's a detached chalet, Swiss-style, so the living area is upstairs. That's because the view from up there is the whole point. You look right out over the water to the Holy Isle.
It sleeps six, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms downstairs. The rating is 5 Star, so it's comfortable and well kept. It's a modern build, so the stairs are normal.
Lamlash has a local pub and a shop. The bay is good for kayaking if you've brought your own, and you can get boat trips from there too. The ferry to the Holy Isle leaves from Lamlash pier. It's a Buddhist community, so it's very peaceful. You'll see goats and ponies wandering about.
A couple of miles south is Whiting Bay. It's got a few small shops, a golf course, and a couple of nice places for coffee. From there, you can walk through the woods to Glenashdale Falls, which are worth seeing.
The whole island is right there. You're about 20 minutes from Brodick, which has the main ferry terminal. Inland, you've got the mountains. The coast road goes all the way round. You can drive to Lochranza in the north in under an hour to see the castle and the distillery.
For facilities, it's got what you'd expect: parking, a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi. There's a garden with a BBQ. We can provide a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them. No pets, I'm afraid.
