Bay View
This is Bay View in Brodick, on Arran. It's a detached house, up on a bit of a slope. The name is right, you get a good view of the bay and Goat Fell from the front.
It sleeps eight, in four bedrooms. There are three bathrooms, which helps with a full house. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's spacious and well equipped, not ancient or particularly fancy.
You're a five minute walk from the Co-op, which is the main supermarket. The ferry terminal is close too, which is handy. The Douglas Hotel is just down the road, they do good food. There are a few other places to eat in the village.
The house has a woodburning stove for cooler evenings. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you're bringing dogs. You can bring two. There's parking on the drive.
For things to do, Brodick Castle and its gardens are right there, run by the National Trust for Scotland. If you're a walker, the path up Goat Fell starts nearby. The golf course is in the village. The Auchrannie resort has a spa and pools if you want that.
The rest of the island is easy to get to from here. The distillery in Lochranza is about a 25 minute drive north. The Machrie standing stones are about 40 minutes drive down the west coast.
Facilities are all there: wifi, TV, dishwasher, washing machine, bike storage. Bedding and towels are included. We provide a cot and highchair if you need them.
