Seagrass is in Lamlash, on Arran. It’s a detached bungalow. We renovated it completely in 2021, so it's all new inside.
It sleeps six. There are three bedrooms. Two are doubles, and one of those has its own shower room. The third room has a triple bunk bed, good for kids. There's also a main bathroom with a bath. Everything is on one level.
The kitchen is open plan with the dining area, and the living room has a wood burner. There's underfloor heating, so it’s always warm. Outside, there's a patio and an enclosed lawn at the front. We put in a summer house last winter with a fire pit inside it.
The beach is about a quarter of a mile away. The local pub is a two-minute walk. The views from its garden are very good.
Whiting Bay is a short drive south. Kildonan beach, which a lot of people say is the best on the island, is about a 15-minute drive. You often see seals there.
The ferry to the mainland is at Brodick, which is ten minutes away by car. If you want to explore, the island has good walking. You can find specifics on the National Trust for Scotland's Arran page or through Visit Scotland.
Facilities: it has a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. We have a cot, highchair, and some toys and books. You can bring one dog.
