Lower Beach House is in Whiting Bay on the Isle of Arran. It’s detached, right on the main road that runs through the village. The front looks straight out over the bay towards Holy Isle. You can’t miss the view.
It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, three bathrooms. It’s a 4 Star place, which means everything is pretty high spec and comfortable, no real corners cut. We call it luxury but it’s just really well put together.
The main living area is open plan with a wood burner. It’s the focal point. Good for winter, but the view through the big windows is the main thing. There’s a flat area out the front with seating, so you can sit and look at the water.
The beach is just down the road. You’re looking at a two or three minute walk to get onto the sand. The village has what you need. A couple of places to eat, a bar, a small shop, a post office. There’s a golf club and a putting green if that’s your thing.
It’s handy for exploring the island. Brodick Castle is about twenty minutes drive. If you like walking, Glenashdale Falls and the castle ruin at the top of the path are local.
Practical stuff: it’s got a washing machine, dishwasher, wifi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There’s a cot and highchair if needed. Parking is on site. The entrance is wheelchair accessible, but inside it’s all on one level. No pets.
