Woodlea Cottage 1
This is Woodlea Cottage 1 in Dippin, on the Isle of Arran. It’s a small place, just for two people.
It’s a single-storey house, but the living area's built over the garage, so you go upstairs to live. The views are the reason for that. The lounge has patio doors onto a little balcony. You can sit out there and look over the fields to the sea. Sometimes you see deer in the field. If you’re lucky, you might spot dolphins or porpoises in the water.
Downstairs is the bedroom and bathroom. The bedroom’s a good size and also has a view of the sea. We leave you some Arran Aromatics soap and things in the bathroom.
It’s a 4 Star place, so it’s comfortable. Everything's on one level inside, which is handy, but you should know there’s a short flight of external stairs up to the front door from the parking area.
For facilities, you’ve got a washing machine, WiFi, and TV. Parking is right there. Bedding and towels are included, and we can provide a cot and highchair if needed. No pets allowed, sorry.
You’re a couple of miles from Whiting Bay. That’s where the nearest shop, pub, and places to eat are. There’s a beach and a golf course there too. A bit further down the coast is Kildonan. The beach there is good for a walk, and people often see seals and otters.
If you’re planning things to do, the National Trust for Scotland Arran page is useful, and so is the official VisitScotland guide to Arran. Brodick Castle and Goatfell are about a 30 minute drive away, up near the ferry.
There’s an identical cottage next door, Woodlea Cottage 2. You can book both together if you’re two couples or a family.
