Cairnsaigh
Cairnsaigh is in Whiting Bay on Arran. It's a white bungalow, set back from the main road. You can see the water from the front.
It sleeps six, across three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, one is an en-suite. That comes in handy. The rating is 3 Star, which is about right. It's comfortable and clean, not a show home.
The living room looks out to the sea. There are doors through to a big kitchen and dining room, so you can open it all up or keep it separate. Patio doors from the kitchen lead to a back patio. It gets the sun most of the day. We see red squirrels out there a lot. They like the feeder.
You're basically opposite the beach. It's shingle and sand. You can walk across for a picnic and look at Holy Isle. Sometimes you see dolphins from the shore, or even from the living room window if it's calm.
Everything in Whiting Bay is walking distance. There's a pub that does food, a couple of places to eat, a coffee shop, and a shop. The golf course is 18 holes and just up the road.
For walks, you can start right beside the house. A path goes into the woods and up to Glenashdale Falls. It's a good walk. From there you can keep going on the forest tracks for miles if you want to.
Included in the rent: all the utilities, WiFi, TV, bedding and towels. There's a washing machine, a cot and a highchair if you need them. The garden is enclosed. Parking is on the drive. No pets, sorry.
