Cairnsaigh
Cairnsaigh is in Whiting Bay, on the Isle of Arran. It's a proper house, not a cottage, right on the main road across from the sea. You get some good views from the front.
It sleeps six across three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, which is handy. It's a 3 Star place, so it's comfortable and clean. It gets the job done.
The living room is at the front. You can close it off with French doors if you want, or open them up into the kitchen dining room at the back. That room has patio doors out to a patio. It gets the sun. We get red squirrels there. They come for the nuts in the feeder.
You're straight across the road from the beach. You can watch for dolphins from the window sometimes. Holy Isle is right there in the bay.
Everything in Whiting Bay is walkable. There's a pub, a couple of places to eat, a shop. The golf course is an 18-holer just up the road. If you've got kids, the playpark and a good bit of beach is about half a mile along, at Sandbraes.
For walking, you don't need to drive. The path to Glenashdale Falls starts just by the house. Once you're up there, you can keep going on the forest tracks for miles.
Facilities: it's all there. Washing machine, WiFi, TV. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. Parking is right there. No pets, I'm afraid.
