Whiting Bay is a couple of miles away. There's a shop, a pub that does food, a coffee shop, and a beach. There's also a golf club. Kildonan beach is a bit further south, and people often see seals and otters there.
For facilities, it's got the basics: a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Parking is right there. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are included.
You can get to most of the island from here quite easily. Brodick is about a twenty-minute drive. The ferry terminal and the castle are there. The National Trust for Scotland Arran page has good information on walks and things to see.
