Big Beach House
Big Beach House is the big, detached white house on the seafront road in Whiting Bay. It sleeps eighteen, which is a lot. It has nine bedrooms and seven bathrooms, which is why big families or groups book it. It's got a 4 Star rating.
The main thing is the view. Every room at the front looks straight out over the bay and the Holy Isle. The living areas are open plan with wood burners. There are two kitchens and two living rooms, so people can spread out.
The bedrooms are all different sizes, from small doubles to bigger family rooms. Two of the bathrooms have a proper deep bath. It's on one level at the front, so there's wheelchair access into the main living area from the parking.
You're right on the main road through the village. The beach is literally across that road, maybe twenty seconds walk. There's a park right there with steps down to the sand.
In the village, a few minutes walk away, there's a shop, a post office, a couple of places to eat, a coffee shop, and a bar. There's a putting green and the golf club is just up the hill.
For things to do, you can walk the coastal path in either direction. You can get the ferry to Holy Isle from Lamlash, which is about a ten minute drive. Brodick Castle and the country park are about twenty minutes by car, and you can catch the ferry to the mainland from Brodick if you want to explore further.
Facilities included are all the basics: wifi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher, a cot and highchair. Bedding and towels are provided. There's parking for several cars on the drive. There's a patio area at the front with furniture. No pets allowed.
