Big Beach House

Big Beach House is on the island of Arran, in Whiting Bay. It's a big, detached house right on the main road, set back a bit from the beach. If you need a place for a lot of people, this is it.

It sleeps eighteen, has nine bedrooms and seven bathrooms. Two of the bathrooms have a decent bath. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well-equipped.

There are two kitchens and two living rooms. One kitchen has a big table that seats everyone. The other has a breakfast bar. Both living rooms have wood burners and look straight out at the bay, over to the Holy Isle. The view is the main thing. There's a patio area at the front where you can sit outside with a drink and look at it.

The house is on the main road through the village, so everything is close. The beach is across the road, through a little park, maybe twenty seconds walk. There's a shop, a post office, a few places to eat and drink, all within a few minutes walk. The local golf club is here too.

Facilities: it's got parking, WiFi, TVs, a washing machine, dishwashers. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. The entrance is wheelchair accessible and there's a bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor.

For things to do, you're on Arran. You can drive to Brodick Castle, or go walking in Goatfell. The ferry to the mainland from Brodick takes about an hour to Ardrossan. If you want information for planning walks or visits, National Trust for Scotland Arran is useful.
