So this is Stable Cottage. It's on a working farm in East Bennan, near Kildonan on the Isle of Arran. It's ours. For a holiday, like.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms downstairs, both doubles I think, and each one has its own ensuite shower room. That’s quite handy. It's a 3 Star place, so expect it to be clean and comfortable, not luxurious.
You've got your own garden, which is enclosed. You get it to yourselves. Door goes right out to it from the living room. The view is just fields and the farm. It's quiet.
Kildonan beach is about a five minute drive. You'll often see seals there. There's a hotel there that does food. If you want a shop or more pubs, Whiting Bay is about ten minutes up the road. They’ve got a golf club there too. The farm track is fine for a normal car, just take it steady.
Inside, it's got what you'd need. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. You can bring up to two dogs. There's parking right outside the cottage.
If you want to see more of the island, the main walking information is on the National Trust for Arran site. For the wider area, VisitScotland is the official one.
Next door is Bushmill Cottage, which sleeps five. You can book both if you've got a bigger group.
