Burnside Cottage

Burnside Cottage is in Sliddery, which is a quiet spot in South West Scotland. It's a basic cottage, not fancy. It's surrounded by fields and there's a burn running past it. You get your own garden with a lawn.

It sleeps six, with three bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, which means it's clean and functional. There's a downstairs bedroom and shower room, which is good if stairs are a problem.

There's a narrow staircase up to two of the bedrooms. It's a bit steep, so watch your head. The TV signal and WiFi can go patchy in bad weather because of the location.

It's a peaceful place, good for just switching off. The description says it suits families of six, but for adults only, it's probably more comfortable for four.

Blackwaterfoot village is about six miles away. It's got a shop, a butchers, a post office, a beach, and a hotel with a bar and restaurant. You can play golf there.

The Isle of Arran is just over the water. You can see it from the coast. The Visit Scotland page for Arran has information. The area is good for walking and the Glenapp Estate is nearby if you want big gardens.

For facilities: there's a woodburning stove, a washing machine, a cot and highchair if you need them, bedding and towels are included, and you can park on site. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
