The Stables is near Shiskine, which is a hamlet out past Blackwaterfoot on the Isle of Arran. It's a detached place, just the one building. You get the front garden to yourselves, it's enclosed.
It sleeps two. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's all on the ground floor which is handy. The owners' main house is on the same bit of land but they're not there all the time, you just share the track in. You've got your own parking spot.
The main room is open plan, kitchen and living area together. The big thing is the view. The windows and French doors look straight out over fields. You can sit outside on the patio. The wood burner works well for cooler evenings.
Blackwaterfoot is about two miles down the road. It's got a shop, a butchers, a hotel with a bar and restaurant you can use, and a golf course. The beach is there too. Sometimes the sunsets are really good.
You're well placed for getting around the island. The distillery in Lochranza is about half an hour's drive north. The main walking paths up Goatfell start from Brodick, which is maybe 25 minutes the other way.
Facilities wise: there's a dishwasher, washing machine, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
