Bracklinn

Bracklinn is in Blackwaterfoot. It's a big house that sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms.

It's got a 3 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable, not ultra-modern. Some of the original features are there, like the fireplaces and the main staircase.

The best thing about it is the view. You can see the sea and the Mull of Kintyre from most of the front rooms. The garden is large and grassy, good for kids to run about.

There's a room for kids with a TV and PlayStation. Also a big storeroom for bikes or golf clubs.

The owners live in a small cottage at the back. They're there if you need anything, but they keep to themselves.

You're very close to the sea. The beach is a couple of minutes walk. Shiskine Golf Club is about the same distance, you can get food and drink there. The village centre, with shops and a hotel, is about a quarter of a mile.

For facilities: there's parking, a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and bedding is included. No pets.

If you're looking for things to do, the island of Arran has a lot. You can drive to Brodick in about half an hour for the castle and the country park. Useful links: Visit Arran and National Trust for Scotland Arran.
